Rest and restore yoga

A deeply gentle practice to slow down, soften and receive.

Rest and restore yoga

Rest and restore yoga is an invitation to step away from the busyness of everyday life and create space to simply be.

This nurturing practice combines gentle movement, supported restorative postures, breath awareness, stillness and deep relaxation. Rather than asking you to achieve or do more, Rest & Restore invites you to listen inwardly, soften the body and allow yourself to be supported.

It is a practice of less doing and more being.

What you can expect

Each Rest & Restore class is thoughtfully created to support you to slow down and reconnect with yourself. Practices may include:

Props and supportive variations may be used to help you feel comfortable and held throughout the practice.

There is no need to be flexible or experienced in yoga. You are invited to listen to your body, choose the level of support you need and allow the practice to meet you exactly where you are.

A space to receive

Rest & Restore can be particularly supportive during times of stress, overwhelm, fatigue or emotional heaviness — or simply when you feel called to slow down.

In a world that often asks us to keep moving, achieving and doing, this class offers permission to pause.

To breathe.
To soften.
To receive.

My approach is holistic and trauma-sensitive, creating a gentle and supportive environment where you can turn your attention inward and reconnect with your body, breath and inner sense of knowing.

Sometimes rest is not something we have to earn.

Sometimes rest is exactly what we need.

The invitation

You don’t need to arrive feeling calm. You don’t need to have everything together.

Come exactly as you are.

Allow yourself to be supported by the earth, the props, the practice and the space around you.

Let the movement become softer.
Let the breath become quieter.
Let the body be held.

There is nowhere you need to get to. Nothing you need to achieve. For this time, you are simply invited to rest.

I warmly invite you to join me for rest and restore yoga and give yourself permission to slow down, soften and receive.
